HopeWorks employs a highly-skilled outpatient clinical team who provide individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and addiction counseling to clients. In addition, our team includes an onsite Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who can prescribe psychotropic medications.
Therapy includes:
- Assessments: Required to initiate and guide services, these are comprehensive “bio-psycho-social” histories of our clients that document client needs and diagnoses.
- Crisis Intervention Services: When our clients are struggling and beyond their ability to cope, be it with grief and loss, suicidal thinking, or inflamed mental health symptoms, we are there to support them.
- Individual Therapy: HopeWorks’ clinicians are trained in clinical best practices, which include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.
- Group Therapy: The HopeWorks’ Outpatient team offers several groups each week, ranging in topics such as Seeking Safety, Substance Use, Anger Management, Coping with Emotions, Coping with Trauma, and Life Skills. We also facilitate peer support groups for women, men, our LGBTQ+ clients, and clients who have recently become housed.
Treat First: This program is a statewide initiative by the NM Human Services Department (HSD) to provide rapid access to critical services without long intake processes. By streamlining screening and intake, Treat First clients with urgent needs can receive therapy and/or case management within a few days, sometimes within hours, of walking through our door.
The Future: HopeWorks is implementing a new Suboxone clinic, for those suffering from opioid addiction. Our clinicians continue to train and specialize in various clinical modalities. Our robust intern program is building a solid reputation with several universities, and we are becoming a first choice for graduate students seeking real-world clinical experiences.
