An increasing need.
Over the last three years, our Day Shelter has seen an increase of 42% in the overall number of unduplicated clients served (5,706 in FY 17 to 8,110 in FY 18/19).
Our facility provides a place for individuals experiencing homelessness to rest, receive meals, clothing, showers, storage, and more – all while obtaining supportive services and housing (to eventually exit their homeless episode). Compared to the costs of remaining homeless, our shelter services cost only $67 per client per year.

The shelter is open Monday-Friday 7:30am-6pm, Saturday 4pm-6pm, and Sunday 7:30am-11:30am.
Breakfast: Monday–Friday 9am-10 am, Sunday 8:30am-9:30am
Lunch: Monday-Friday 12pm-1pm
Dinner: Monday-Saturday, 4pm-6pm
The Day Shelter Client Advocate assists homeless individuals who sign up on a walk-in basis with referrals to a variety of different resources both within HopeWorks and within the community. The Client Advocate can be found on the 2nd floor of the Day Shelter building.
